Hi, if theoretically someone was to add a second immobiliser to an existing cat 1 alarm, what circuits (other than starter/fuel pump/ignition) would be best to cut? What about Coil, Injectors, ECU etc? Would immobilising these cause more problems than their worth?
Thanks

I personally wouldn't put an immobiliser on the injectors, as you'll add extra resistance to the circuit and could screw up the electrical pulses to the injector.
depending on which model you have, the coils could be each individual HT lead, so it would be a real pain to connect to the immobiliser.
The fuel pump is a no no, as I've heard people have been bypassing the immobiliser by using a 12v battery from a drill, or using flyleads from the battery.
if it was my choice, I'd put the immobiliser on the main power feed supplying the ECU when the ignition is on.

No one would like to add to this?
