Can anyone recommend a reputable (read good and honest) garage that'll service my Legacy GTB? I live in the Fife area (Kirkcaldy) and don't want to travel too far if I don't have to. Right now I need a service and a cure for a busted passenger side rear wheel bearing (hopefully, it's not more serious than that).

Cheers.

Try posting in the Scottish Scoobies section on SIDC - most folk are frequenting there now.

Job Gevers, Automotive Services, Unit A, Broomhead Drive, Dunfermline. 01383 738077.

Not come across anyone in South East Scotland to touch the abilities of these guys with Scoobies - nightmare turbo swaps, engine swaps, short motor changes, suspension work, clutch and gearbox changes. The guy is a complete genius with suspension.

Concur with the above statement Mr Gevers is also a wizz with the electronics

AFAIK he used to work in F1 which is about fsar up the tree as you can go

Falkland performance are a stones throw from you, arn't they?

To be fair, i've heard a couple of non-Scoob related horror stories but i've hear 10x as much praise for the work carried out on Subarus.

Worth a try if you're not wanting to travel too far.

Cheers dudes. I've decided to go with Grant and John advice and took the old girl to Automotive Services. Job seemed to know his stuff and I felt comfortable leaving it in his hands. Hopefully, it won't cost too much to sort it.

Another recommendation for Job Gevers at Automotive Services...just dropped my car off with him tonight with it's leaky turbo.

Had car in there several times and had great service, they know their stuff.
