I need to get some plans drawn up for a building warrant application. Nothing too fancy, just putting in an internal kitchen in a tenement flat.
Anyone able to give me any pointers on what's a good price for an architect to quote for this type of work?
Cheers.

If you know what you want to do try to find a technician to do it. We did a basic extension a couple of years ago. Architect cost - 4k. Technician cost - £180.00.
If you want design style and flair pay the architect. If you just need the plans pay the technician.

I waited acroos the road from the architect office until I saw a guy come out and get into one of those old beige Fiestas. I knew he wasn't getting 200 quid an hour :D

lol @ fast bloke - I have to make do with an Impreza :D
To give you some idea - for a job like that an architect will probably do it on a time-charge basis, so roughly about £50 an hour. A Technician will probably do it for about £10 an hour.
It sounds like quite a small job - you could ask an architect round to give you a price - there shouldn't be a cost as most RIBA registered architects have to give you an hours worth of free initial advice.

Or ask on SN and I'm sure one of us CAD monkeys will do it for you!!!
P.s. I charge out as £15 an hour because I do it all on weekends at home! Not that I am advertising, I'm on holiday next week so I can't!! lol.
