We have recently had a new wall built on the perimeter of the house and the garage extended (Detached Garage)
The house sits about 1.5m high from the pavement. This means people walking across can see in the garden and we can see out. See pictures.

Can anyone recommend any trees or something similar which only grows about 2 metres in height. I want the trees planted along the fencing. My only concern is with the roots, are they likely to damage the wall, ie roots cracking or coming through the wall?
The wall is made of 3 skins. Two inner skins are made of concrete blocks and the outer wall is made of bricks.
The length of the run is about 9 metres.
Cheers
