Could anyone possibly tell me how to get the seat off on a 1995 RF900 before it drives me insane, need to fill up the scottoiler and it is lurking under there somewhere

most bikes have a key hole somewhere roundabouts. look on the back of the bike by the rear light and also around the back panel sides.

Tried that m8, couldn't find one...all the other bikes i've had are as you've described but i can't find this one at all :(

if its anything like the GSXR range you need to look underneath the tail, upwards..............the lock will be pointing vertically at the floor.............normally midway'ish on nearside

I'm sure it's at one of the sides with a key ,owned a couple ,but me memories .....

If not either under the side panels or look under the bacl of the bike for a couple of bolts, but (use to work for a a Suzi bike shop as a greese monkey) there should be a key for it. It'll either be near the rear foot peg or look towards where the grab raid is for the pillion near the number plate. Happy hunting.

The RF900 seat is removed by turning a key which is on the underside of the seat fairing, next to the rear light, near side (well it is on mine anyway :) )
