In 2002 we watched Halfway stage from a quarry and it was great. Does anyone know if this is available this year and what pass would cover it?

I think I was there as well, did a yellow suzuki (or something similar) go over the edge after the very long straight we could see in the distance?
If it is the same place, I would like to know again because that was a brilliant spot. I'll dig out my camcorder footage and see if anyone recognises it.

If i can remember, The quarry is down the South end of the stage. I don't know where the car park for the stages are but it's the one to the west of Dixies.

I 'think' you want car park K, on the road from Brecon. When you get into the carpark there's a fork not far from the entrance - you need to take the right hand lane/fork to get to the quarry.

Thanks Guys. Yes I do remember something yellow going for a big off in the distance. The quarry is a great spot as you get to see the cars entering and exiting the quarry. We have a pass for car park L. What’s the chances of slipping into K?

Just looking at last year's programme and it says if you park in the Llywel car park. You can walk through halfway forset to junction 8. The quarry is either junction 6 or 7 i think, so if you wanted to walk down to it you probably could (if the marshalls let you).

I can see an un-forested area in the middle of Halfway forest that looks like it could be the quarry. Does this look about right?

where ya park, been there on the mutiny rally, good view across the valley.
