Ordered myself a new setup for my WRX '03

Headunit : Alpine CDA 9831R
Front (speakers) : Focal Poly-K 165K
Front (amplifier) : Phoenix Gold Octane-R 4.0:1
Subwoofer : Focal Poly-K 27K (11")
Sub (amplifier) : Phoenix Gold Octane-R 5.0:1

Did i build myself a decent (Sound-Quality) system ?
Do i get any problems with the frontspeakers and the headunit ?
Any tips and or pics of installs will be helpfull and well appreciated.

Can't help on any of the other stuff, but the headunit is a cracker (I've got one). Manual for it is a bit crap, but once you get al the time corrections etc. correct, it sounds very good (I'm using Alpine SPR-176R for my fronts).

Cheers

You might need to make some mounts from mdf for the fronts, but sounds like all the components for a good install. Just remember the windows comes down past the speakers !!!

Good luck !

You've got good kit.

Now you need to do a good install to get the best out of it ;)

Very similar to my setup.

I went for the Octane 9:0.5 which is the two amps you got together I think.

I have Focal Polyglass 165 slim comps up front, and alpine HU & changer and a 12" ADS sub.

Get a few rolls of dynamat extreme, a decent sub box and a decent 4G wiring kit and you'll be away.

Deffo a good SQ system. If the fronts aren't the slims you may have some depth issues.
