Can anyone advise me on what the correct mix is for repointing spawlling brickwork ? Also do i need to buff the original mortar to give me a key ?
Any advice / sequence of operations greatly received.

repointing a house is a horrible time taking job all bricklayers hate :( dont repoint your house unless you know what you are doing as its the 1st thing peeps will see, if you make a proper ar5e of it it will stand out a mile and it will devalue your property :)
