New to this forum, but hopefully somebody can answer a question, before i go buying my tickets.
Is Colin McRae still planning an entry on the Rally GB, in an RED entered Scooby? Heard that a few months ago, and havn't heard anything since, till a friend mentioned he thought the deal had fallen through. Anybody here know what the facts are?

Hi BM, colin was interviewed a couple of weeks back and he himself said the deal had fallen through, but if sponsorship was found he would love to do the event. Unkess anyone else knows different......

Colin wont be there, as you say the deal has fallen through. There will still be a McRae blasting through the forests though, a slightly older one, granted, but still a legend. Jimmy (Colin and Alastairs father) has secured a private entry.

Yeah shame colin wont be at the rally. was good watching him giving the citreon some hammer. at least Martin and Solberg will still be there :D

So does anyone think that Colin will ever compete on the WRC again, and the WRC GB for that matter??

I understand that he is a Castle Coombe this month!

Well, he has signed for another year with Dakar, I was disappointed when i heard this. I think he will return to the rally scene, but when is the question! he is a great driver, but i think the only way you will see Colin McRae in rally car will be on "Colin McRae 05" rally game :D

Ahem I saw Colin McRae in a Metro 6R4 last week going sideways at an obscene rate of knots through the forests of Perth AAAHHH Bliss Also Jimmy and Alistair in Scoobs

The only hope we have is Lapworth sees sense that the money Hirvonen is costing them in wrecked cars and parts would more than paid for Colins season

Colin has lost none of the speed but needs the hunger back and at 36 its not gonna come easy

As for this years Gb event he wont do it in a car which isnt gonna be at the front end of things IMHO i think he should enter in GRp A or Open class,L555BAT (the car which he won the 95 WRC) He still owns it and is regularly seen "testing" around the back roads of Lanarkshire
