Its weird this year here in the forum, there doenst seem to be the pre rally enthusiasm as previous years, does anyone know why ??? for the month before the rally i was on here every day chatting away to people who were sooooooo lucking forward to it....... but this year - nothing

Well i for one am so looking forward to it (as i do every year, even with the prices ;)) and sep cant come quick enough, making the journey from Northern Ireland is like a pillgrimage that takes place every year and i absolutely love it !!!!! so come on everyone, ITS ONLY JUST OVER A MONTH AWAY TILL THE WRC IS IN TOWN !!!!!!!!!! yippie !!!

I think it will build up - it always does. Personally, I'm only looking ahead to Germany, as I'll be going to that one first! :)

I'm sad to say Ive got no interest in it at al this year. Probably due to the last few years with ticketing etc. Worst thing is it's on my doorstep as wel.

I dont think people have fully realised that the event is only just over 6 weeks away - Im sure that towards the end of August I wont be able to keep up!

I'm excited, it's like an annual pilgrimage for me too :D Just gotta get Germany out of the way first tho.. ;)

One theory could be that everyone is having to work over time to pay for their tickets and so nobody has time to come on here. :)

On the Dhrontal stage there is a sweeping set of hairpins (about 7 in a row) which go down the side of a hill, which is an excellent viewing spot... the vineyards and scenery is absolutely spectacular!

I will have to go to a WRC round abroad! Germany sounds good! I bet the serve a good pint out there! :)

Yes, Germany is a good one to go to alright. I'd be back if it weren't for every other damn thing chosing that weekend.

It's not so exciting this year cause of them stupid prices. no one is prepared to pay that sort of money. Where the hell did they get the prices from, F1!
I'm only going to the rally cause i live right on the door step. Luckily for me i know how too get in stages for free!
Look out for a blue 206 with a tube of smarties on the Aerial!!

Starting to look forward to Wales now, my only reservation is the lack of WRC cars competing, re 2 car teams, however next year they are talking about bringing a 3rd car back.
After the wrc cars are through, there is no real quality after that. Like say 5 years ago you still had Vatinen, Mikkola, M Wilson, etc to follow the big boys through, so you would get approx 30 really decent cars.

I think aswell the time of year is different!!! I still refer to November as the rally!! Its traditional!!

The price has definetly took the smile of my face £550 for the tickets and £200 for Transit hire for two of us. What happened to the World Rally Pass and the rally spectator kit ? If I get a speeding ticket this year I'll be bankrupt !

Completely lost interest after last year. Paying well over the odds to be herded like sheep into overcrowded pens was not my idea of a fun day out.

Total shame, even though its local for me I'll be staying home to watch it on TV.

Well I dont know about everyone else, but I'm looking forward to it! 4 days away from work, watching loonies driving stupidly fast cars giving it some serious grief through Welsh forests... What could be better... (apart from me having a drive!!!)

Ok, done Germany, now I'm excited about Rally GB :D

We're also having a bit of a holiday in Wales before the rally so will be out spotting recce cars etc in the days leading up to it, yippee!
