Geezer, you can download a sample of the D70's shooting action from DPReview.com- point the lens at people and play the noise. They'll honestly think you're completely normal.

Just got back a couple of hours ago - one word to describe the 2 weeks: terrific.

I drove 3,500 kms over the two weeks and shot well over 500 images. I reckon I got about 60-80 keepers out of that (not including the family snapshot pics) which is a fair average I suppose. Will post up some pics and a "scoobynet holiday review" in a day or two once I've got through the workflow and had time to sink a few cold ones after the long drive home !
