Ok, had a look at the piccies (cheers btw mate!).

Now, tbh, it doesn't look like an STi, just an RA (doesnt have the STi interior and the engine intercooler doesnt look right).

For mine (and everyone elses) benefit, could you ask your mate to check his chassis code.

If it's an STi it will be gc8b48d
If it's just an RA is will be gc8b47d

Still seems a good price even if it's not an STi RA :)

The first WRX STI RA's which were made between 09/94 and 08/95 had the same model code as the WRX RA which is GC8C47D.

The WRX STI RA did however a different engine code, this should be EJ20G DW4PJ, whilst the WRX RA should be EJ20G DW4HJ. I do agree that an early STI should have an STI interior, it should also have the adjustable centre diff. with an STI logo on the dashboard indicator.

Also my early STI RA has front and rear strut braces and some alloy suspension wishbones.
