I'm thinking about building one of the raising and lowering type. It'll give me a shed a place to park the car and another parking spot all in one. Not forgetting the chance to drive a digger.
Has anyone here ever built one?
My efforts at STFI have turned up nothing, anyone got any leads?

stfw.. not stfi..
driving a digger is hard..
a pit is subject to bulding regs.. doubt you would pass :(
too much money and effort.. check for cables and drains first.. they will cost!! lots to move

Thanks David. I'd only want to have a go in the digger and the only thing in the way out the back is the water supply. I'm still interested in doing it, but it's fading fast.
By the way. We have STFI down south, it harks back to a time before web pages :D
I'd imagine it would be a HUUUUUUge job.
Probably the reason i've never heard of anyone that has one.

This http://www.roadtraffic-technology.com/projects/cesena/ is a big job.
All I need is a floor, four walls, the lifting mechanism and 50 or so major items.
the only thing in the way out the back is the water supply.
Check out the Gas and electric supplies as well.
Chip.

Shipping's a bit rough! Other than that, not bad.

LOL - quote from their blurb
Solid structural steel support members (not that thin-gauge stuff).
Phew! Glad they are not using that thing-guage stuff! Where would we be without comedy :D

Gave up on the idea, spending the money on a Paramotor instead.
