Have a look at my DIY effort (http://www.dan.armstrong.dsl.pipex.com/default.htm) Look under "Studio projects"

Lots of piccies, so 56K - beware! :) I've tried to keep them small to cut down on download time.

As I'm a DIY novice, let me know what you think <flamesuit ON> :D

Funky! Like it.....workspace a bit small, though?

Granted, the pictures don't do the roomsize justice - it's actually about 7ft x 9ft.

Big enough for my needs - project room. The Utility bit also can double as a vocal booth - as long as wifey hasn't got the spin cycle going though!!! :D

Looks excellent to me :D

Could do with somewhere like that in our house - problem is that we've just not got the space to do it... Or have we?

In my case, it was a choice of this option, the loft conversion, or move house !!!!!

Heres a few pics of mine (before I moved house) most of it is all boxed up now

My intention was to convert my double garage into a studio, as it already has a 10x7 room off the garage, and backs on to 10 miles of farmers fields ;)

But then I got a scoob, and the garage looks more like kwik fit these days

Nice setup Steve :) - my Scoob's out on the drive!! :D
Nice bit of kit - I really like the Tascams. Only used them a few times though - 32 track setup and prepping for "live" work :) How did you get on with the DT100s?

I still haven't had chance to get all the kit out yet - got an SY77 & XP30 lying about upstairs somewhere

Had to get mine set up again pretty quickly as I had work coming in and no studio!! D'Oh! :)

Cheers Dan, one of the Tascams (the 88) and the remote control I bought from Marillion :)

I have a Mixtreme Card in my PC too, so I can dump all 16 tracks digitally straight to the PC, and sync them up to Tascams again, courtesy of the Sync Card in the back of the 88

I like the DT100's especially as I know now them :) but I also use DT 211's semi closed for cross reference, along with a set of PC speakers, some huge speakers, and a few hi-fi amps too, and the car cd player :)

I have this too :) which I really like the sound of

http://white-elephant.homeip.net/pics/rodent2.jpg

I have a few other bits too, Akai Sampler, a few more guitars, well a few Rickenbacker basses, including an 8 string :)

Quite a few of the pics on your website dont load (and im on broadband too) looks good tho, what I can see

I lost interest a bit back when my mates band split up, although we did quite a bit of his solo stuff, but i havent managed to get back into again since, and I should really cos theres money in that lot than my scoob, and it just sits there gathering dust !!

hmm. will have to look at the website - I *think* it's to do with the index lists, or my pipex webspace is a little bit dodgy!!! :D

I like the Rode stuff as well. I've got a few different mics, but don't really need to use em at home. I usually hire the nice stuff when I'm in a studio :)

Know what you mean about the Scoob! :D My studio pays for mine! ;)

looks a cracking job mate ;) my only worry is you have all that electrical stuff in there and all you have is a cement sheet roof:eek: that should of been your first job to change the roof even if it was only made a felt roof it would of been a bit more peace of mind:)

yeh - that is the next step. Sort of retrofit roof. Couldn't afford to do it at the time though :(
