lotusport 15 July 2004, 18:53 There must be plenty of enthusiastic rally mad folk out there who would like the opportunity of being a part of a round of the World Rally Championship?
Just think where it might lead....if you want it badly enough?
You have to start somewhere, and I reckon that this could be the start of something good!!

Yes - NMR grade 2 and radio operator, 19 days so far this year

Time Control 16 July 2004, 19:37 I think I've got it ! If the answer to being a member of a motor club is YES as well as having marshalled before then why should the answer to marshalling on Wales Rally GB be NO. Answer YES to all three and you are a winner !
i.e. I think we should be getting ourselves out there in September.
Is lotusport another user name for Rallymarshal, of WRGB marshal liason fame ?

sorry, being a newbie, I wasn't too sure how to go about this...didn't mean to be cryptic...just wanted to generate interest......marshals are a dying breed, and it's not a bit of wonder when they get so badly neglected....here's to the future!

make sure you are logged into the Official WRGB Database with one of the staffing officers, or you won't receive your newsletter/info/passes etc...
Port Talbot Motor Club is excellent, and they will welcome you!
I wish I lived nearer to them!
West Glam Racer 17 July 2004, 19:32 Yep......Port Talbot Motor Club are a very good motorclub and as being a local, Ive been to many national rallies organised by them including todays action in the Neath Valley, (The Swansea Bay) rally, using some WRC GB stages! Awesome stuff, they even had a service setup type thing last night at Felindre, and a service area Nr Walters Arena today!! :)
I tried to find a link to thier official website, but didn't get very far, so here is a link to the Swansea Bay Rally website which may have contact details there regarding club meetings etc.....

Hiya,
Firstly thanx for the link! Secondly a good rally 2day enjoyed! Initially found a route to Resolfen and then went to Rhonnda and then went to Rheola adjacent and then viewed at Walters. A good day out and a good entry. Do you know who the overall National winner was??
