Just wondering if anyone managed to find a banner or make a new one, are we even waving smarties this year ?. its just i dont want to look an utter tw*t waving a tube of smarties around and nobody waving back lol. Maybe even change the sweets to........... ummm well, anything that makes noise lol, any suggestions ?

Regarding smarties...

how about, using a PC to create an image of lots of "smartie" shapes in different colours, and print them out onto that special iron-on paper. You could also include your forum name.

Then, get your old "come on England" flags off the car and iron your picture onto that.

Now, that would look confusing to those not in the know.

I could get some iron on transfers made up and then post them round if you like.... or we could get some window stickers made up or something....

Personally, I'd be carefull about using the Smartie image - is it copywrited - would Nestle be upset. (I work for Cadbury, and being a family orientated business, might get a little upset at the poosibility of misinterpreting the image of motorsport)

I say, go with the coloured blobs (representing the sweets) - you can't help if they LOOK like smarties.

Yes, it does appear to be your image - as I have upset you, my sincerest appologies. I have now removed the "banner" from my server.

My only defense is that I found your image in the public domain that is the internet. The image was not protected and so (apparently incorrectly) helped myself. Your right, you had added a copyright message that I admit to having "cropped", and also it might appear that I had attempted to disguise you image by flipping it, which was actally done to make the presentation more pleasing.



I admit to taking a copy of your image without asking your permission and manipulating it to my credit.

I have now removed the manipulated image from my server, so that the links in my above postings are now dead.

I publically appogise for the upset caused.


I hope this issue is now cleared.
