i know all insurance companes are different. why do tesco charge you more if you add a named driver over 40 y/o(clean licence, full ncb & no conviction)? whereas some other companies like bell direct would reduce you insurance cost if you add someone 40 y/o as a named driver?

i tried this idea as my mate added his dads name as a named driver just to reduce his insurance cost a little.

thanks
