I'm also thinking about getting a tracker fitted, but I want a system that will alert the company if the car is moved, not just started.

On the Trackstar website it says if the car is moved or started they will notify me, but their brochure just says if the car is started... anyone know for sure which one it is?

If RAC Trackstar moves more than about 1 or 2 miles from its location without being disarmed (ie towed) it goes off. It is what is called "Geofenced".

Navtrak (proactive) answer is that if the car moves from location without its i-button having been used to disarm the system, then that goes off.
