I am moving into my new house next month which has a drive. Now I was thinking that what it needs at the end of the drive is a nice substantial piece of toughened steel concreted in to the ground to deter anybody from taking my Scoob!!

Anybody had a security post fitted and if so where from and how much did it cost?? I would prefer it to be hinged but that is not vital. What is vital is that it is strong enough so that it can't be removed whithout making a LOT of noise!!

I was looking for one of these for the parking space at my flat (to stop people parking there rather than security - but it does both, so far enough).

Couple of things you could try - speak to your local police crime prevention officer - they should have details of companies that provide this kind of thing.

You could also check for at camping / caravan stores as I've seen these advertised at a place in South Godstone.

Check with your local council, they normally have a list of companies that provide this kind of thing for council offices and property.

Failing that do a search on a UK based search engine - you'll be amazed how many companies do them.

Expect to pay anything from £30 to £100

Or try this just found it - Chris

JoeyDeacon,

I was checking out the Disklok website before I bought mine and noticed that they also make a lockable drive post.

If they are as good and strong as the diskloks they may be worth considering.

Speak to the guys at any local car showroom.

Most have them, Toyota in Bromly have the drop straight down in to the ground type and are flat with the surface, theirs are by Rhino.

Joey,

I remember seeing a brochure on these type of things and one of the posts had a remote control to go up and down.

Scotty.
