One of my bosses is a yank. His bike license has expired (american) just recently, although his car is up to date etc & he can drive over here.


How does he go about getting bike licensed over here? Is it Direct Access? Or what?

From a quick scan of the DVLA site, it looks like he'll have to take (and pass!) his bike test, as the 'bike' catagory is no longer on his USA licence.
He'll also have to do the theory/hazzard perception tests.

I may be wrong though...

Oh, and his USA car licence is only valid for one year over here.
