Not to sure what to get yet, I go on holiday on saturday for 2 weeks so I shall wait until I get back before choosing a bike but I have 3 the shortlist:-

Hornet
Bandit
SV650

Dont really know which is going to be the best choice though.

Ideas??

I bought a SV650 but didnt like it due to the lumpy twin - I think personally the Hornet is the best one of the 3. It's smooth and easy to ride, but suggest you thoroughly test ride all three and make your own mind up. Good choices though. Do also get good kit - decent boots, trousers, jacket and helmet are vital.

From day one of the course I had new kit. I have seen too many riders about with t-shirts on but I wont be one of them! :cuckoo:

I may have to speak to the dealers to see if they will let me try the bikes, seem to remember people saying that this was not always easy.

Well done and welcome to the club!

Whereabouts are you? I may be able to help with the demo/sit on and try for fit thing...

Ref Demos it just depends on the dealer. Some will let you and some wont. If they see how serious you are and you get chatty they usually melt a little. My local dealer (P+H in Crawley) charges £20 per test ride but refunds it off the price of the bike if you buy one through them. But last time I bought I was allowed to ride 3 bikes for just one fee...still annoying to pay though.
