Hi everyone, I've been reading these forums for the last few years (very helpful, thanks!) but have never actually posted.

I was looking forward to this years rally, however, a family wedding means that we cant make the whole thing (bad planning ihmo). The only day we can go this year is Thursday, which isnt ideal, but does mean we could go to Shakedown and the opening super-special.

We've been to numerous stages before, but not Shakedown or Felindre.

My question is that is Shakedown worth seeing? Does anyone have any information about times this runs and where to go? Information regarding Shakedown seems a little thin on the net. Also, is the service park worth going to or would we be better off giving these a miss and just seeing the Thursday night super-special?

Take a look at the thread "Recent News" which is just down the list from this thread. It mentions info of the shakedown. But no times sorry!

Shakedown is not bad, and can see them at full pelt, as its run for checking and testing thier car settings. Its worth a look and adds a nice build up to the event :)

Does anyone know what times its run? Do the teams have allocated time slots or is it done randomly?

I don't know if this helps, but I was standing on the main road, where the cars were coming out of the forest and seemed to be coming through in an orderley fashion. e.g top cars first. They must have had about 4 or 5 runs thru as thats how many times they passed on the road! Its the stretch where the Cefn Coed Colliery is by!

Shakedown times are as follows:

Priority 1 drivers: 09.00 – 10.00hrs, Thursday 16 September
Priority 1 & 2 drivers: 10.00 – 12.00hrs, Thursday 16 September
All Priority drivers: 12.00 – 13.00hrs, Thursday 16 September

Within that schedule, the cars are free to shakedown as much as they like.
