Going to fit new rear droplinks to MY02 (Powerflex alloy).

Is it a simple case of undo old and refit new, or is the system under stress such that care must be taken to get the setup just so? Will anything have to be checked regarding toe, camber etc.?

Hoping its just a straight swap.

Yup, doddle and even easier if you've got a pit to work in - those of us that have been on the pies don't have a lot of room underneath when you''ve lowered the suspension. ;)

The instructions are decent in the kit - just make sure you get everyting tight enough and check them a week or so later to see nothing's loosened off.

Just to add - I seem to remember you put the flat side of the link inboard, i.e. pointy bit on the triangle towards the wheel as things fit better :)

The new droplinks have holes at 90mm centres, where the originals were 100mm centres :eek:. Therefore had to jack up the suspension to get the new top bolt through. Getting the lower part of the links into the bracket without damage was challenging as well. Still only took an hour.

The creaking from the n/s/r is still there :(

So have I:

a) got the wrong droplinks :(
b) lowered my suspension by 10mm :cool:
c) knackered my suspension and handling :(:(:(
d) not adversely affected anything? :)

It doesn't really matter that they are slightly shorter as long as they are equal.


PS the creaking could be dirt in the spring coils.
