PTFE tape - wrap it round the pipe end before you tighten down the nut. Brilliant stuff. You can it in its own in reels, like in this pack:-

All you need is an olive

Which end is leaking?

One will have an olive and is meant to fix to plain copper pipe which needs to be clean, round, unpainted where the olive goes, and not scarred much.
Use Boss Blue, Plumber's Mate etc on this end.

(BTW: you can now get these in push fit and they do work:): )

The end that's meant for the tap/toilet inlet will have a plain thread with a fibre washer. Is the fibre washer missing? If so, plumbers merchants, DIY store etc will provide. Agin, a smear of sealant will help. DON'T overtighten either end. Tighten down until it grips then 1/2 to 3/4 turn more or you risk distorting it, crushing the washer etc.

As above... Im assuming its the fitting on the bottom of the toilet that is leaking, these dont need ptfe as they dont seal on the thread.. they seal on the face, hence fibre washer..

If the other end is leaking, pull it a part and smear bosswhite around the leading edge of the olive, If you have overtightened the olive then you may need to replace the pipe, or cut it shorter and add a new olive.

But as above basically

the toilet end is leaking with the fibre washer-not sure wether it leaking round joint or from where they crimp em together tho-hard to tell

Are you sure the nut hasn't crossed threaded on the plastic ballvalve tail because if it has it will never seal as the two mating faces won't pull up square to each other even though it feels tight.

Sounds to me like its cross threaded. Time to buy a new ballvalve.
