Default Can't find live feed to courtesy lights

I'm trying to find a live feed from interior light to run extra lights when the doors are open.

I thought I could use the wire that runs to the switch on the door but that didn't work and not sure how to go about finding the right one. I unscrewed the light to see what colour wires went to it but couldn't then find the wire under the dash.

Any help.

TIA

Did you look for a live at the switch? Only most cars (haven't had to play with Scooby yet, but guess its the same) earth the wire that goes to the switch to turn the lights on. If you connect a wire from a +ve supply to a light then the earth from the light to the wire at the door switch, that should work!

Of course you may know all of this already and be having other problems.. In which case I can't help.

Neil.

Ahhh, never thought of that!

So the wire from the door switch is -ve (earth) therefore if I connect the +ve to any constant +ve and the -ve to the door switch we'll be sorted.

Never occured to me to switch -ve as I've always thought that its only +ve that is switched.
