Richard,
Stain Devils do a chewing gum remover which should do the trick with no fear of seat damage. Available from dry cleaners etc.
Hope you have some joy with your sticky situation!
Cheers

Cool - cheers
I did actually buy said Stain Devil to get the stuff off my trousers but I was a bit reluctant to put it on the seat in case it damaged it (the gum was on the pretend suede bit, is that alcantara?).
Thanks

Anyone have any ideas how to get the mark off my seat where there was a nice blob of chewing gum? I've got the gum itself off but there's still a round mark where it was.

Peanut Butter!!
Thats what you use for removing chewing gum. I have never tried it and probably wouldn't have the guts to smear it on my seats, but thats what the wife says.

Put it in a freezer for 2 hours and it just breaks off! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Well I'm here to tell you that the "putting it in a freezer" trick is a load of @rse. Doesn't work at all (as my trousers will testify). Do you think I should have taken them off first?
A friend of mine has suggested steam cleaning the seats which should remove the mark but that sounds a bit drastic to me.
Maybe next time I should try Fruit Salads as my bribery sweet ("Here little girl, want a sweetie"), easier to remove... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

The freezer spray used to freeze electronic components for fault finding works great.
Also you can use the air blaster cans...just hold it upside down and spray....be carefull....it's *VERY* cold and can cause frostbite...
