I have had my new Impreza for about three weeks. It has Alcantara seat inserts. The Drivers seat is developing creases towards the rear of the seat base that won't go away. The passenger seat also gets the creases after the passenger has got out, but the creases even out within a few minutes.

Has anyone else experienced this? How do I fix it?

I don't have alcantara seats but I have a suggestion:

The method plastic surgeons use to do face-lifts!

I know it sounds a bit crazy but maybe unstitching the seam at the base of the seat and then pulling tight and re-stitching (using velcro to hold it in place?) would work.

As mentioned before, I haven't tried this but in principle, this would cure the problem.

How annoying is it to you ?

Gavin, It's not that simple... The Alcantara is glued to a thin layer (3mm) of soft foam rubber, that is then glued to the block of high density foam rubber that sits on the stell frame.
I've taken the car back to the dealer, but all I got was a blank look. I now have an appointment with a Subaru technical representative to find a solution.
