I have a set of Recaro Trend seats that I would like to swap over to a MY97 Scooby. Anyone know if an adapter braket is readily available? From who and at what cost? Thanks.

Only Prodrive are authorised resellers it appears and Demon tweeks said they were'nt allowed to sell them cheaper. I seem to remember (and I'm not joking here) that they were about £250 (that's each !) I suppose if you don't want to bother about having sliding seats then you could just bolt them in, or maybe get a friendly blacksmiths / metal bashing person to make you a fixed frame. cheers Andy hutton_d 21 September 1999, 10:48 Hi, The previous owner of my car fitted the interior from a Series McCrae which has Recaros. It came from a crashed car and the seat brackets were damaged so he made his own up. As a consequence the drivers seat sits about an inch or so too high for me so I thought about getting new runners for them. Talked to Prodrive and found out the true cost (as above - yikes!) but they did describe them (for my car an MY96) as 'Legacy One Piece'. My task now is to find out if the runners from a Legacy (of this vintage) are the same then talk to a breakers... Does anyone know? I did find runners advertised for a later model car but when they arrived it turns out that they were different. The seat belt buckle is part of the seat runners on mine but not on the later models. Something to bear in mind. Dave |
