Hello again,

quick message.

Want a leather retrim. Already have a great company who did my golf + will discount me. But he a question which I cannot answer yet.

For the job to be easy he needs to remove the covers and copy them exactly in leather. He thinks that the seat covers in a WRX might be bonded to the foam, which means he will have to design his own covers. Not as hood + takes longer.

Is this true?

cheers people.

Another way would be to find a helpful owner, who has both a UK spec car and a leather interior. I believe that the UK leather interior are only covers fitted by the dealer.

Strip them off, copy them and buy the owner a drink for his troubles!

What you may want to try is peel the covers off as you can re-apply them with spray adhesive if you're careful on the removal stage. This should not be too much trouble.

I'm in the middle of making a leather interior at the moment, and looking at the door pockets first. Has anyone taken their door trim panels off to recoat them with leather or any other material for that matter?? I mean the middle naff trim-bit, not the surrounding trim panel part. (Pre-facelift car - know what I mean???)

Any suggestions of help would be muchly appreciated.
Cheers.
