well Adam's just called and told me i will be going to the ball after all .....
How's that for customer care & service, it was delivered to them yesterday morning, and it's been less than 36hrs, they diagnosed the problem, which turned out to be a fooked gearbox and clutch (not the engine thank god which i 1st thought it was) sourced the necessary parts and hey presto she's now ready for collection.
