According to the info I got, all turbos from 01/98 will have the 295mm disk.
Sounds about right as my MY00 also has 4-pots and needs 295mm disks.

Look at it this way, they are better than the OEM parts and a lot cheaper! Thanks.

If you have 4 pot calipers with Subaru embossed on them, then you have 295mm discs :D

what type of hoses are they

They are also made by Black Diamond and are the braided type. I should have mentioned that.
If anyone has a photo of the BD hoses please can you post it here or a link to them as I cannot find a pic myself. TVM.

If there is a problem with delivering just the hoses to you, I'll add your hoses onto my order and post them out to you myself.

I have also found a picture of the brake hoses on the Black Diamond website:
http://www.blackdiamondperformance.com/images/BD_hoses.jpg
Note that the hoses are braided steel and steel in colour rather than black (not that this should affect anyones choice!)

Would strongly advise against going for drilled Black Diamond discs.

They cracked running trivial power and normal road tyres in moderate track use. Not just small cracks through the drilled holes, but proper full thickness fractures that made the brakes unsafe and horribly juddery.

The set was replaced under warranty and the same happened again at the first track outing.

I had originally asked for grooved but they were n/a and I was reassurred they would not crack.

So you would recomend the grooved only disks

I got second hand AP 4 pots as I was fed up with all the hassle.

I tried the x-drilled/grooved on my M3 and had the same problem (cracks around holes) as John posted above after a single track day. I am aware of others who have had the same problem too!

These discs don't sound to hot after all.
Would I be just as well replacing them with standard ones

It is interesting to hear your comments. I have not tried Black Diamond disks myself, and have heard nothing but good reviews from people until now.

Driving a car around a track is a lot different than driving it on a road as obviously the brakes will be used a lot more than under normal driving conditions with less time for them to cool in between brake applications.

Has anyone had problems with these disks under normal driving conditions ?

I drove around on a third trackday on Subaru discs. They didn't crack or warp.

We're only talking 4 or 5 sessions of 5 laps of knockhill here, 5 or 6 minutes at a time with stops from 115-70mph at the end of the main straight, 90-60 on a short straight, and about 110-40 for the hairpin from memory.

They are cheap aftermarket discs for undemanding users, don't expect them to be an upgrade IMHO.

Sorry Speedy,
looks like I'm going to pull out of this one.
Did a search on the discs and it seems they don't have a great review.
