I will be coming up to Scotland next week for the first time in Subaru and wondered where I can get optimax around Oban and Glencoe.

Fill up in Glasgow before you get up there, as there's nothing near there that I know of !! Check this out though....

Yeah, most you'll get is SUL in Fort William.

Bring a few bottles of octane booster or even just don't rev the car so hard and you should be fine on Esso SUL from the garage in Fort William.

I was recently in Fort William and on a protracted search for Optimax was told that the nearest was in Perthshire!!! SUL + no booster = ECU not happy for a while!

If you do run on SUL, make sure you do an ECU reset as soon as you're back on Optimax. Amazing difference it can make.
