Question

Hi,

Today I disconnected the battery of my standard MY98, connected an amplifier, and reconnected, and seem to have lost the use of certain electrical features. Specifically a Sony head unit, central locking, interior and boot light (I forgot to check the glove compartment), and the clock. Everything else (lights, indicators, mirrors, windows, lighter etc) is working, car starts as usual. Are those items that I've lost all not designed to work with the engine off, and therefor have a central point of failure? All the fuses are ok, as is the fuse on my head unit. Any help appreciated, although the car is going for a small service next week.

Cheers,
Steve.
