HOW THE BUGGERY DO I CHANGE A SIDE LIGHT BULB ON A MY96 STI2. I HAVE READ THE THREAD ABOUT JUST REMOVING THE CROSS HEAD SCREW BUT THERE IS ANOTHER CLIP OR SCREW OUT OF SIGHT.AM I RIGHT IN THINKING THE PIAA SUPER WHITE IS THE BEST REPLACEMENT
MY96 CAME FITTED WITH A PIAA DRIVING LIGHT KIT FITTED. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MUCH IT COSTS

Not sure if a MY99 is the same as yours but undo the screw and then it takes a little force to remove the sidelight lens - well it did with mine anyway http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
If you're running uprated bulbs like Xenon as main then the PIAA sidelights are a good match and, finally, the PIAA driving lamp kit is about £270 plus fitting.

If the fitment is the same as an MY99 then they can be a bit difficult to get off.
At the back of the sidelight there is a locating lug which means the sidelight has to be pushed forward (away from the cabin). At the front of the sidelight (low level) there is a push fit ball/socket. You can access this with a long screw driver and help to release the socket. Otherwise brute force!
I have just fitted the PIAA sidelights -very good. I fitted superwhites but plasma sound interesting.
Hope this helps

Dave's post was slightly tongue in cheek. As you can imagine some questions op up on a regular basis and there are a few people will ignore the fact that Rob is new to the board and start 'shouting' at him to 'do a search' etc etc. Not the most friendly thing to do, but it does happen.
Wouldn't worry to much about it.
