We've just imported a car from Japan with a double din stereo (Pioneer) with radio, cassette and CD. We've had the radio expander fitted but the CD player refuses to work, spitting out the CD. Are Japanese CD's different to ours (UK) or is it knackered?

Might sound silly, but is it too cold? When I came back off holiday 2weeks ago the car was freezing and the CD player would not accept a CD for a good 1/2 hour of driving.

The CD would go in then about 30 secs later spit it out, mind you this is on an Alpine UK unit not the Double DIN Japan unit, but they probably all work in the same way.
