My boiler has just about had its day so thinking of changing to a combi. It will go in the same place. How much approx to have one fitted. Got a bed bed detached house with 12 rads in it. Will I have to change my two 12v power showers.

Chip,
A mate of mine has just had his changed, the boiler was moved aswell, but, he's paid 2k for a new boiler, with 6 new rads, and a bit of piping, and yes you'll have to change the showers.

You will need a 30/35 kw combi boiler, the price depends on what sort of boiler you go for.In the long run your better going for a condensing combi boiler, which are a good few hundred quid more than a normal combi but run at about 93% effiecency compared to 70% on a normal combi. After april 2005 all boilers will be condensing,so it just makes sense to go for this. Are your showers cold mains fed or do they run from your hot and cold tanks?
Showers run from the hot and cold tanks.
