Soooo how many of us are heading over for the shoot out on the bank holiday weekend in a few weeks?
Are we all heading up together in a Kris Kristofferson (sp) style convoy?

Doors open at 9am with racing starting at 10am...Just shy of 100miles from Tellins.

Never planned anything like this so open to suggestions...

The West Yorkshire guys will be having a mini convoy up from the M1 on the morning if you're that side... we've a couple of members running so we'll be heading up early to get dressed up in mini skirts and pom poms... :D

Abadaz - I'm from just up the road from St.Helens - Prescot.

I am running at the Shootout, I don't mind meeting up ... especially if any one knows the way! Was gonna set off about 6 am ish, as doors open 8 am for competitors, sign on at 9 pm IIRC. Unless wifey decides to go visiting in York over the long weekend, then I will be there from Saturday and can't join in the convoy.. I'll advise later when I know!!Cheers

Last year, I met up with Madgrip & convoy at Leeds, and then we drove in, I think it was also part of Alan C's convoy too iirc,

and someone got lost :) :) :)

However I DO know where it is (sort of :D ) I suggest perhaps a meet up at Burtonwood services on the M62 Manchester bound

Sonic... you've not forgotten.. git.. :D that sign post was broken I tell you! Dead easy to miss :rolleyes:

Anyway, I was only a few miles out... This time someone else can lead.. becuase I still haven't lived it down!

Vulnax - If you're coming along the M62, you'll need to head up the M1/A64 towards York, straight past us.

Sonic - We're meeting at the same place as last year... just off J44 on the M1. If you come off the junction.. and head back along the A639 for a few hundred yards, there's a small road on the right called Leodis Way.. It's the entrance to a main Post Office sorting office. The road is nice and quiet and we'll be meeting up there at 8:00 ish to leave at about.. 8:10 ish..

The run up is about 50 mins (without any detours :p ) so competitors should get there for sign on at 9.00-9.10.

Times may vary ... but we'll post if there's any changes...

You're more than welcome to join us. There will be about 7+ from the West Yorkshire lot.. so an extra few will look pretty good along the M1 and A64 :D

Excellent 6 - 6.30 am at Burtonwood Services should be a good call then - I shall set my alarm for (gulp) 5am...I'm not running at the shootout - so dont want to get there too early if theyre only letting competitors in...

Any chance of a pick up at Birch Services on M62, would prefer not to have to travel alone. I'll set up at Birch, at the back near the petrol station, so if you do a drive through I can just tag along at the back.

Give me a meet time and i'll be there. I'll be in a Silver Bugeye.

(I have a sat nav so should not get lost going there, if that helps?)

Shouldnt be a problem matey - if you pm me a mobile number nearer the time we can give you a ring as we approach and you can hook up with us without us coming into the services - not that coming into the services is a problem mind - but this weeks project management course is eeking into my social life - blimey!

we've arranged to meetup with the South Yorks lot too for the SS & NBO

We're now meeting up just off J44 on the M1 at a bigger carpark. This is South (and away for you)... But we can still easily arrange something to hook up at J44..even if we all drive off and around the roundabout...

I doubt you'd miss the procession past Leodis Way!

Let me know what you want to do.. we've started another thread to get some names..

I may well come along to spectate as well ;)

If you want some directional assistance, just give me the postcode before the day and the Sat Nav will do the rest ;):D

Cool - well as it stands the plan is:

Leave Burtonwood Services 6.30am
Quick call into Birch services to hook up with Supertouring (and any others) at 6.45
Track down Alan and the WYIOCs at Jct 44 of the M1 7.40ish
All head up towards the A64 and there before 9am...

Just to correct AlanC (he's not too good with directions ;) ) the WYIOC group will be meeting the S.Yorks group just off J41 M1 so you guys will need to come south on the M1 from the M62, but it's only 1/2 a mile.
