Sick of Royal Mail losing parcels and DHL now. Happen too often than coincidence can allow.

Any ideas on who is a GOOD reliable courier and will collect parcels?

TnT?

We've run an online business for four years now. In that time we've used Parcel2Go (unreliable), Amtrak (expensive but okay), Parcel Farce (!), Securicor (always late) and Initial City Link (always losing stuff).

We now use Interlink Express for domestic and international parcels and they are absolutely excellent. The amount of time we spend tracking parcels has all but ceased. No courier is perfect but from the thousands of parcels we send each month we can count the number of loss/damage claims per month on one hand and we rarely have late deliveries.

What sort of numbers are you talking?

Talking between 50-100 parcels a month.

Royal Mail - Average 30 lost out of 100.
DHL - Failed to deliver the SAME package twice. Still out there somewhere now.

Absolutely annoying.

Thanks for the info guys!

That's shocking on the Royal Mail front. Do you send Recorded? We send everything Recorded when using Royal Mail but we absorb the extra 60 odd pence as the time saved outweighs the extra cost. But we don't send anything over 1kg by Royal Mail as the insurance is only 100 x cost of 1st class stamp and our products typically are outside insurance range once over 1kg.

Interlink have been really good customer service wise as well, we have someone at our local depot who is dedicated to us and any problems we just ring them and they then go off and talk to whichever delivery depot it is. They often ring us as well if they have been unable to delivery something. That never happened with other couriers except Amtrak.

Certainly sounds like you need a change of courier.

One other thing, Securicor, Parcel2Go and Parcel Force all needed their shipments in a single package whereas with Interlink we can send as many single packages in one consignment as we like and it doesn't cost any extra. Worth thinking about if you're sending bulky stuff or a large order.

Yep I send everything minimum recorded more often than not special delivery.

It is ridiculous. Been talking to both courier head offices and they are checking everything.

Interlink sounds like my courier :D

Did none of you guys see the program last week on the theft that takes place at Royal Mail sorting offices, the site they chose employed ex cons from Brixton prison, the guy who they fingered could get you virtually anything you wanted allthough his speciality was credit cards.

It didnt portray RM in a good light at all.
