Just gauging interest, I have spoken to a few suppliers this week after my best mate asked me to try and find him a Good Brake set up that didnt cost loads...

I had Black Diamond discs and pads on my last WRX and was very impressed with them so i thought that is good enough for him.. :D

Definately a Good option for people who dont want to/cant afford spend £1000 plus on AP's etc but want to improve their Brake system.

Retail prices Inc Vat are as follows. (pre discount)

1994-1998 277mm
grooved ----- £139.00
drilled------ £139.00
combo ----- £154.00

1998- 295mm
grooved .... £171.00
drilled .... £169.00
combo..... £184.00

pads predator

1993-12/95 ... £73.00
1/96-12-97 ... £72.00
12/97-00 .... £72.00

braided lines

all models £54.00

Retail price on Front Combi discs, pads and Braided Brake lines (x4) is £310 inc Vat.

The Supplier has Said that if i can get 10 people on the Group buy, they will discount 25%

Anyone Involved in the Group Buy can also take advantage of an offer of full fitting inc Fluid for £35

I am sure you can see but this means that a set of Drilled discs, pads and braided Brakelines for a 95WRX will cost just under £200 if we get 10 people.

Now thats A bargain!!!!!!!! lol

I will keep in touch with the Company until we have enough takers and then will just point everyone at them. That way i dont have to get involved with any money as you can pay them direct, and the Co. wont get a million people ringing them about a group buy if it isnt going ahead.

Postage will be extra for people who dont want fitting or collection.

Cheers

Rob

Hi,

Do they deliver and for how much? Couldn't have come at a better time as mine have just started making that scrapey-graunchy-change-me-quick noise :D

As discussed, put me down for the following:

1) speedydaveb - 295mm drilled disks with predator pads.

I'd rather skip on the grooves and have pads that last a while ! :)

I have sent a few PM's to tweenierob and have had no replies. I have found my own supplier who can do us a BETTER deal than tweenierob found, a little dearer on the disks but much cheaper on the pads and hoses (cheaper overall).
I contacted the supplier by email yesterday and asked for prices on the rears also and to confirm the prices he quoted me last month are still valid.

Look at this post in a few days time, hopefully then I will have all the prices we need and we can take some steps to getting these on order. I need some desparately now, I am down to the rivets that hold the brake low indicators on!
