View Full Version : Mods criteria for moving threads...

Not too fussed about it, but I'm always curious what criteria are used by the mods to justify moving threads.
Posted one last night about problems with my mobile phone company in "Scotland", and it's been moved to "non scooby related". True, it is non-scooby related and not particularly relevant to just Scotland, but I wanted to share with people I know as you generally get more relevant feedback that way.
What confuses me a bit is why some get moved and some don't, as there are quite a few non-"scottish" posts still in there !?!

What are the guidelines so I know where to post in the future ?? Mods ??

Wasn't me Dave as I had even replied to it.

Seemed as you were trying to share your misfortune with fellow Scottish SNetters.

I wish they do a better job of tidying up General. There's everything in their including Insurance, engine additives and dashboards

Is SN run by a bunch of part-time referees? ;)

Indeed I was...

As it happened I spoke to their cancellations department today and guess what...... I'll have a brand new phone tomorrow morning !!! What a joke !!! Why couldnt they have done that on Monday when I reported the loss ?? If they'd done that, they might have kept me as a customer! As it is I'll move to another company as soon as my 30 day notice period finishes :p .
Very silly mistake !!

Mea culpa! As this is the Scotland Events forum my rule of thumb is that if it's specifically something local (ie a meet or a shout out for local advice/help) or specificially aimed at the usual suspects (ie a FAO or similar) then it's cool.

However, speaking in general, if it's something that is not really region specific then it will be served better in a more specialised forum. ie it would seem reasonable that the wider readership of Non Scooby related would benefit from your experiences with Orange.
