Dunno if anyone is interested but chatting to a girl from Rally Travel yesterday when booking my Finland trip, and she was saying they've had an Italian team cancel some rooms in Cardiff city centre for the rally. There's 2 big hotels with some rooms free and they're not going to advertise them aparently.

Also a B&B near Rheola which is a lot cheaper. Not bothering myself as just going for the day this year, and have lost their brochure with the phone number on again (doh!), but if anyone's interested try www.rallytravel.com (http://www.rallytravel.com) or www.IBISHotels.com (http://www.IBISHotels.com) (Hotel chain we used last time)

By the way do we know an exact date for the tickets anyone?? I though I'd read somewhere the 21st May is that right or is someone from the MSA there and want to tell us?

As an aside to my posting above... Has anyone being to a rally in ireland recently, I'm thinking of putting a trip together myself to Donegal in June, maybe camping it. If you look at the entries they get there's loads of WRC Subaru and stuff. No doubt theres a few drinks to be had as well... Anyone ever been?

Hi there scoobs,

Im working in Northern Ireland and jesus !!!!! these boys love their rallying. Ive never seen anything like it, they put 150% in to what they are doing, there is no driving at half pace. Every mile of every stage they go hell for leather !!! if you've not been over then your missing one of the best sights ever !! derek mcgarrity, andrew nesbitt, eugine donnely, dennis biggerstaff these boys are nutters in wrc cars. Well im sure u'll see for urself mate, what ya waiting for ? Get ur ferry/plane booked !!

The Donegal is a good rally but personally i think uve missed the best one this year, the circuit of ireland rally by far is the dogs. There is the Ulster rally in sep, thats well worth a look aswell, plus all the brc boys come across from the mainland. Its funny as hell watching the irish boys on roads that they drive up and down daily kick ass left right and centre.

Hope this helps

Any info u need mate give us a shout, if i dont know the answer i know a man that will. lol
