Ok lets get this group buy sorted now then. So i take it this is the final list.

I take it most of you guys are going to do bank transfers? To make this easier, Simon has asked for following payments:

1. Paypal (plus 4% Paypal handling charge)
2. Transfer into my brothers UK Barclays account

He is a recognised trader outside UK and many memebrs have bought goods from him. I will get bank details and confirm email for paypal address

I will send Simon the final list for the order so he knows who is in the group buy. I will give you his email address so you can email him your address to post the goods

Lets get it sorted :D

Splitters will be sent to individuals

If you mark it as gift, you usually get away with it

If you mark the goods as £75, then if you do get caught, then you only get stung for about £21 for import and vat :D

http://www.japanparts.com/Pic/pic003/037-001.jpeg

Seen this on Japanparts.com, £328 delivered (66,000 yen)

Is it the same splitter? or a copy.

mrklaw
19 May 2004, 11:48
its the same splitter. That price is the 'hope I don't get stung for VAT+ duty' though.

I was looking at them for a front skirt, but didn't want to pay more in shipping than the part cost!

66000 yen = £327.70 at todays exchange rate

Simon sells them for £315 normally

Group buy was suggested by Simon so he can get all orders at once and also give us a bit of a Saving.

Takes 10-15 days for preparing and delivery time - so are they selling a genuine one or a copy?

scooby L

yes mate, it is the original STI splitter, just STI Racing can import them for a bigger discount than I'm getting.

megabusa
19 May 2004, 15:09
I wouldnt be worried scoobyL, Japanparts are a reputable company. Perhaps they require 15 days to get them from the dealer, I dont imagine they stock them themselves. Can't see any other reason why they should take 15 days.

scooby L
19 May 2004, 15:28
cheers megabusa,

When I saw it on one of Hendrys new Jap imports I loved it so much I would have paid £400 for one, so £328 is always a bonus!! http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk/smilie/cheesy.gif

Am I to late to take part in this groupbuy?

And I assume it will fit a WR1? As I guess it is the same as I have seen on a pic or Rums car.

Regards

Robin
