Looks / sounds the business from the description. Only prob is, only an enthusiast will fuly appreciate it, and therefore the price....

What would you replace it with, Nelson?

Thanks for the comments about the car.....you are quite correct DBM about your comments re: an enthusiast. I know £13K seems a little steep for the car but bear in mind that this was a UK Turbo pulled off the production line, fitted with all the prodrive goodies available and then sold as a prodrive special - RRP at the time was £30K. The possible replacement would have been a P1 but I have to confess that having thought about this entire situation I am not entirely convinced selling is the way to go. I do enjoy the fact that I have a type of Scoob that I have yet to see another like it in the flesh.

£13k is a fair price considering the spec, this is one of only a handfull of extremely well kept, low mileage "Prodrive" classics left and is worth every penny in my opinion.
Like I keep saying, this type of car is a rare find and people will pay good money for good cars.

If I were you (and if finances allow) I'd store it for a few years and the value might even go up once all the other MY00's have disappeared off the market.

Nelson, as you may have deduced from my username, I own a mica red classic. Was just wondering if there is a noticeable difference in colour from your car?

To DannyB - thanks for your words mate, someone else who appreciates a rare find :) I really do like the idea of storing her away for a few years but the Scoob is my only mode of transport so this would be difficult to do.

To MicaRed - the Sedona Red Pearl is I've been told the same Sedona/Mica Red introduced for the Bugeye range. Its a fantastic colour either way - the car can look a different shade of red in different light ;)

BTTT for a great classic
I think 13K is quite fair when you take into account
a) it's a minter
b) it cost 30k to get to this spec
c) it's a minter
d) low miles only
e) it's a minter
f) it's as rare as rockin horse sh-te (there cannot be many of these about, probably rarer than any of the special editions :) )
g) it's a minter

If this was a Wagon i'd be at your door now Nelson :D
Good luck with the sale but if i was you i'd keep it M8

Yeah, must say Nelson, I've long suspected you of being a bit handy with a lens, your car looks a different shade to mine in all of your snaps. I think I've seen most of the photos of it in other posts, you always seem to photo it with the sun at just the right angle. Not that I'm an expert, I just know what I like!! :D

Agreed the price is about right, the WR pack was the one to have, and still is a very tidy package...

To Micared - yes the car really does look different which can only be the Pearl finish :)

Unless anything drastically changes over the weekend I think I'll stick with the car I am very happy with it just fancied the prospect of a P1. Anyway thanks to all of you who have commented its nice to get some feedback every once in a while :)

Stick with it mate, yours is nicer looking than a P1 anyway, imho.

Dark Blue Mark
29 April 2004, 14:51
Agreed. I dont think you'd gain much from a P1, except a few more people trying to break your door down, a bit more grief from the traffic light GP brigade, and a touch more vandalism in any public car park, higher insurance, and 2 less doors :)

NelsonUK - got no other way to contact you than this, so hope you see it.

Did you keep the WR Sport? Got one myself (also year 2000) and just wondered if you ever sold yours.

Cheers
