I used to be into F1, but haven't been for a few years now - it is SO dull !

I started watching the San Morino GP yesterday, turned off after 10mins and then checked later - the race finished with everyone broadly in the same positions ! YAWN.....

I just wish the spectators would vote with their feet and not go to the GP's, that would make them do something to liven up the 'sport'.

It was so bad, I mowed the lawn instead :D

I watched the start then drove up to my In-laws to see the end - missed it and asked FIL who won - he said "dunno - I fell asleep".

Sums it up rather well.

The only interesting bit was the start and that lasted about 30 seconds :(

It was good to see Jenson doing well, but I don't think he has the pace of Schumacher over a full grand prix. So, I can see Schumacher walking this years championship.

The only way to bring competitive racing is to start standardising cars. Whether that's tyres, horsepower, chasis design, wings, etc.. is open to debate. I wish race wins were down to simple driver skill and not pit-stop strategy

F1 has become the sport for techno-geeks and boffins and not raw driving skill :(

Didn't I hear the say that the Auto Launch control was banned from Yestredays race - that means that for a weekends entertainment you're now getting 30 seconds of value - Bernie should think about building a new Scottish Parliament with that sort of progress ;)

Yeah, the regs in 2008 take away some electronic gadgetry, but I don't know if it goes far enough to standardise the cars. Certainly an FIA ECU should provide each car with a limited amount of horsepower and engine charactaristics.

I would've wanted in much sooner, but I guess there's only so much time to restructure and develop and new sytem.

I was happy Jensen did well. However I spent most of the day watching the BTCC. Mutch more fun. Glorified dodgems :)

I enjoyed the first 15mins or so- then the inevitability of it all got too much!! Jenson has provided the 1st real interest for months!

The trouble with F1 is that ferrari has a budget equal to all the other teams put together, not just from ferrari itself but from its sponsors too, they have the money to invest in new technology and better materials that some other teams just cant afford which also leads them to having the best reliabilty by far plus they have the best driver of 2day so all in all they are at this moment unbeatable until they loose shumy, remember, its only 1st place that remains the same each race, all the others change from race to race.

My message - FERRARI, LOOSE SHUMY, we want racing back.

Get it sorted berny.

Blitz.
