Hi

I am looking at getting an scooby type r.

I have tried the online insurance quotes and always get the message that says I need to phone up.

However they will give me quotes on the likes of rx7, skylines. 300zx's etc.

The only thing I can think of is the difference in price.

The scooby being £10k upwards and the other more around the £7k-£8k mark

Would this sound right.

Anyway I was just wondering if there was anyone else who is or has insured a type r around the age of 22-23.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Dan

Erm, have you actually tried reading or searching this forum before you posted? There are plenty of similar threads further down.

Insuring a car like that at your age may not prove to be an easy job. It would certainly assist us if we knew roughly what sort of insurance profile you have - number of years NCD, whether any points, whether the car will be garaged or kept on the road and so-on.

its gonna be tough mate, most insurance companies are now stating that you have to be minimum 25 years old to be insured on a uk subaru let alone an import.

good luck

dont expect it to be cheap.
