The supplier I will be contacting is http://www.radarshop.co.uk (http://www.radarshop.co.uk/)

They are based in the Netherlands but the warranty is exactly the same as a UK supplier would be.

For more info just do a google search.

This group buy will also be advertised on scoobynet.

What sort of payment are you going to accept?

How longs the group buy running for?

Nevetas
18 April 2004, 12:45
Send me a cheque/paypal/cash, or pay the company directly (preferred).

Group buy lasts until we get 20 people.

These units can be used on there own (full fitting kit supplied) OR with your existing detector (Origin b2 etc etc). SO there's no excuse not to get one :D

Jasoon
18 April 2004, 12:59
what existing detector's do they work with?

cant find any information on them at http://www.radarshop.co.uk

Nevetas

Well Road Angel, Origin B2.

What detector do you have?

Or just wire it independantly, either way it means you atleast have some protection.

Just wire it up on it's own then. It looks well smart.

Here's some pics of Phil Stephens install:

Yes, Phil from the SIDC.

He got Pulse Car Audio in Hadleigh to do it. It took them less than 1 hour.

Guys,

What extra functionality is gained by connecting the LRC100 to something like the Origin B2?

Cheers,
Alex

Nevetas
21 April 2004, 13:22
When a policeman targets you with a laser, this device will stop him reading your speed for 5 seconds. This gives you enough time to check you speed and asjust it accoringly. After 5 seconds he will get a reading, and hopefully this should be within the limits... Providing you are good enough on the anchors!

21 April 2004, 13:52
Ah, so the Origin B2 controls the operation of the jammer etc. rather than having a switch.

Thanks!

Nevetas
21 April 2004, 13:58
Indeed, no need for swiches, just PLUG & PLAY!

You ganna order one then or what! :D

hello?

FrenchBoy
22 April 2004, 09:12
Sorry to be a pain but how do they work with a Road Angel?
The laser alert I have with that isn't worth the price of the plastic its made of!

I was thinking about a laser jammer but would i have to get an Origin unit instead to get the full functionality?

cheers,

Nevetas
22 April 2004, 09:33
Laser detectors are indeed useless, by the time it goes off you have already been caught. A jammer is the only option.

All you need to do is ring your road angel supplier and ask for the LCR100 lead. It's normally about £15.

OR it can be easily wired up indepentantly, see Phil's install on the previous page. Either way it will save you, so sign up now! :D
