hi all
Has anyone had only 30k miles out of a std clutch on a std car. :eek:
My clutch shuders like .hit when car is cold but is ok when she is @ running temp.
Can anyone recomend a replacement clutch, or is the std one any good.

Simon, not received any mail neebs.
And as dougster says they kinda all do it, a few " race starts" tends to be a quick fix but nothing fixes it better than a new Flyweel and clutch kit :rolleyes:

Could be contamination on the friction plate My old one kangarood like a bitch when cold but was fine when warm
Solution ............... a couple of 5500 launches and she was cured

grant i will try that when i get my leg back ! broke it 4 weeks ago. :mad:
i will probably need a new clutch soon or will that sort it for some time.

The way i check my clutch is on its way out is load it up in fifth from 3000rpm If the bugger slips then its going gaga Depending on your driving/launching technique,the clutch an last up to 70000mles Some old farts could probably get 15000000miles out of it .... :)

Grant i think it was a old fart that had the car before me (got it in jan) ao mabey shes needing a visit to Crail. :D
