View Full Version : Top Mounts???????????????????? jtabraham 11 April 2004, 15:18 Hi I have just bought KYB AGX shocks, and i have been told that the top nut is a M14 thread, and my old shocks are a M12, Do i need to buy new top mounts with a larger diameter hole? Please help Jt StickyMicky 11 April 2004, 22:31 i bought a set of brand new kyb shocks (not the adjustable ones) and sum second hand top mounts from grade A the top mounts came with the m12 nut, the new shocks came with the m14nut the m14 nut fitted onto my top mounts fine jtabraham 11 April 2004, 22:38 Hi Thanks, is the shock thickness going through the mount 14mm or 12mm. The AGX shox are 14mm Thanks StickyMicky 12 April 2004, 01:29 im not sure mate, but asmine are the same sizes as yours, i cant see it being a problem, the shaft threads must be thicker, but they fit my top mounts fine i was replacing coilovers so i had no "standerd" old parts to compare with jtabraham 12 April 2004, 10:26 cheers m8, I will srip it down and try it. |
