I'm told they are very good and, combined with a good geometry set-up which is essential after changing springs, transform the fast handling of the car without compromising the ride. You could however buy the Eibach springs and save a few quid as they're the same spring, just not painted blue with a Prodrive sticker on them. Speak to TSL/Powerstation about fitting and geometry, they'll be better at it than any Subaru dealer. For a vast improvement, ask Powerstation about the springs combined with an Anti-Lift Kit, rear ARB and droplinks, and full set-up for around 755. This is my next mod before the new wheels and brake upgrade, then I'll settle for a while. Honest ;)

I couldn't say if Eibachs are better or worse from Prodrives but in any case they AREN'T THE SAME don't be confused!

If they aren't, what differences would I notice if I chose one over the other, and are the Prodive badged springs still Eibachs, but of a different specification?

It's worth every penny mate. Can't recommend it enough. If you only fit one mod you should fit the Prodrive spring kit!

Is the geometry setup something that a normal Subaru dealership/workshop can do, or should I go to a specialist afterwards?

This then begs the question, if I did take it somewhere else and they said "this isn't setup properly," do I then ask my Scooby dealer to foot the bill?

Just to back up the comments so far, go for it1 it's possible the best mod you can do to a new age WRX on a pound/performance ratio.

If I were you I'd get your springs fitted at yor dealer, take the car for a 30 - 40 mile drive and then take it to a decent tyre fitting Co, who has a good 4 wheel laser alignment machine. Chances are your Scooby dealer won't have an alignment setup in his shop.

That's what I did and was pleased with results. You should expect to pay approx £80+ for the alignment.

My Springs should arrive Friday, and I am booked into TSL on the following Tuesday for the geom setup.

I believe the Prodrive springs are a different spec to the standard Eibachs, especially knowing someone who swapped from Eibachs to Prodrive on a bug eye and said the difference was night and day - Prodrive SO much better.

Spoke to my local dealer this week (Spring Park Motors - Shirley) and they will fit the springs and do the geometry as well for about £400 :p

i am still planning to get mine done, on my sti8. I dont know whether to get the springs fitted at my dealers and then get the set-up done at TSL or get the springs and then take them to TSL to have them fit and set-up in one go, hopefully reducing the final cost.!

But how would that stand with the warranty?
Dont really want to save in one area and then loose out big time further down the line.

ARM - Your warranty will be fine. Your having approved products fitted by competent and qualified people. Even if you'd fitted the Eibach springs you would be OK as the rules state they should be of OE standard or better, and Eibach supply Subaru and so are OE standard.

i am getting the prodrive ones from my local dealer, it was just the fitting that was on my mind. If TSL offer a good price to fit them i can get the alignment done too

I went to TSL last saturday, and was quoted about £350 for Eibach springs, including fitting and the full 4 wheel geommetry setup !

I want to fit the Prodrive kit to my MY03 WRX but im worried about ride height, does the car still clear large speed bumps easily and when parking do you catch the front bumper easily on curbs?

i am getting the prodrive ones from my local dealer when i pick up my new car :)

Simon, It only lowers it 25mm at the front, so to answer your question, no the car doesn't ground any more easily in 'normal' usage.
