Hard to explain this one; when I'm on full or near full LH lock, reversing from my home parking spot, the inside front tyre seems to drag and skip and doesn't sound too good.

I'm not sure how much undue force this is putting on either the wheel or suspension, but I do have to take off some lock to make the wheel turn 'naturally' without the skidding..

Is this a common thing with the rest of you guys? Or something I need to look into?

Does your car have a regular viscous centre diff or a DCCD (i.e. You have an STi Type R/RA, new age JDM STi etc.)? If so, back the control wheel right off before manoeuvering or reversing.

If your car has a normal centre diff, or if backing the DCCD thumbwheel down doesn't help, it'd be worth getting the car checked over by a dealer or specialist. Could be a worn CV joint, could be a grabby brake, could be really bad suspension geometry, or indeed something else. Much better to know than leave it be...

Cheers mate... Poor post on my part.. I should have mentioned that its a 98 UK Prodrive WR Sport & no DCCD. This is a limited run setup straight out of Prodrive.

It has the Prodrive Bilstein & Eibach lowered setup so unless the setup has 'moved' then that should be ok. The grabby brake & worn CV joint is a possibility though...

Unless there are any other suggestions, then I'll have to have it in to TSL for a full look at... :D
